disc

If you have ever thrown shot in track, or even tried to, you might wanna try discus. beleive me, its much better. I've thrown disc since my freshman year in high school. I didnt think i could ever learn the technique. its not easy what so ever, but its so much fun.

its a frisbee shaped object, but much heavier. The point of this is you need to keep your disc level as it flys through the air. The farther your disc gets is better, of course. But the trick is you must stay inside a circle placed on the ground, and you have to have the right technique. You must stay low in order to get momentum. As you spin in a circle your momentum rises and you release it as your faced towards the front. Many people "scratch" so its called, because their foot has stepped over the circle. Or there are 2 lines that go out as a V; and you must stay inside those lines. Its hard because you dont know where your disc is going to end up, but if your technique is down right, you'll know where it'll hit every time.

I really enjoy discus because its a competive sport. You want to be the best. And it feels excellent when you beat the other people, because you know the next time we have a meet with them, their worried about how well, or how bad you'll do. Its even better when you can hear them say "how on earth will they be able to beat that throw."

what happens?

I think that the mother legally should have her child, but shouldnt raise it up in a prison. It should be brought up by someone in the family or the father. Prisons no place for chlildren. As the child gets older its going to go through a lot if it was raised in a prison.

The woman screwed up. Plain and simple. What kind of person would walk into a bank, and try and rob it. She knew she was pregnant, and shes putting a lot of danger towards her and her child. If she cared about her baby that much, she wouldnt have tried such a stupid thing like that. She should be able to see her child once she is released, but i think she should go through court, to see wether she should be able to take care of the child.

Abortion

We've all heard of abortions, and some people may think they're the "best" things when they dont want a baby. But do u really know what happens when you get one?
Its a procedure done by a doctor to remove the lining of the womb, where the baby is attatched. There are 2 types, MVA (manual vacuum aspiration) and D&C (dialation and suction curettage). They both suction to empty the womb. MVA is done by a hand held tool, while the other is done by a suction machine. In order to get an abortion it must be done after the first month, but by the end of the 13th week.
Sick as this sounds, the women is given medicine to be calmed down, and then the doctor injects the opening of the womb to numb it. By the time its numb, the doctor inserts a tube and sucks the womb right out.
Sounds like a good time... not. Why would someone want to go through this, it doesnt occur that, thats THEIR baby. They're killing their child. Sure, it may not be born, but it has a heartbeat, its living. It's a gift given to them, and they're just giving it up.
I think abortion is really really wrong, I couldnt possibly give up something like that. And if i ever wanted to, i'd give it up for adoption, someone who wants a child can have it. Its better than killing it. I'd find myself as a murderer. Wouldnt it be great to walk around, thinking to yourself... i killed MY baby.

poor

I believe that some people, choose to be poor. They dont feel the need to educate themselves to find a decent job, or even get a job for that matter. U.S. people are lazy. plain and simple. We're a lazy country, and with no help from the economy, it makes it even worse. And with the bailout, people are going to be paying higher taxes and sadly enough, people cant pay them. why? Because more and more people are getting laid off from their jobs, losing money, not even making money. And those people who lose their jobs, have to file for unemployment.

Its sad to see people working 12 hour shifts, every day, just to make ends meet. And those people with families are losing so much. You cant live without money. Really... you can't. Everything you do, your losing money. Even sitting in bed all day, doing nothing. You still have to pay for your house, and the heating bill. And with no job, you'll have to go to the bank, take out money, and sooner or later, you'll have to take out a loan. you'll be in debt. And so now that your in debt, can you tell me how you'll get out??

BILL OR BOB
The way i look at it, i think Bill is wealthier. He has a job, he has a wife and kids, he can keep food on the table, and clothes on their back. Sure, they might not have a lot of money, but they have each other. What good is having so much money, that you really have no idea what to do with it. You cant spend Holidays around the table with a family you love, or any day for that matter. Sure Bob might have kids and he might spend $1,000 on them, but thats not what makes a family. You cant buy your kids love.

2008 election

Im pretty sure there was no doubt in my mind Obama was gonna win this election. He seems like a strong person and can actually do something for this country. Not saying McCain couldn't have, because im sure he would've been able to as well. I just hope what Barack says hes going to do for this country is good, instead of screwing up our country more than it already has been. We're already in a hole we cant get out of.
And how about that Prop.1? Legalization of marijuanna for medical uses? Scary. It scares me that people are already breaking in to pharmacys stealing drugs, and abusing them. Or how about the people that are prescribed drugs and are over using them. People with the choice of marijuanna helping medical uses, is going to be a big problem. There will be more break-ins just for marijuanna. I dont have much to say on Prop 2, it was gonna happen even if it was voted against, i think. It's going to solve a lot of health problems, but i dont necessarily agree on the research of embryos. Hopefully they can figure things out with this.
I really had no idea what was going on with the city council, i didnt pay very much attention to that, but i'm guessing its a good thing.

Negative Campaigning

I havent kept up much on the news and commercials and such, simply because i dont watch much T.V. And with that said, i kinda just dont care about the mean things said about the candidates. Thats not what this thing is about. Its not to see who has the better commercial over the other, its about becoming leader of a country. Something they should really think about, rather than making one look bad. Its a huge job that they're looked upon for making this a better country then what it has been the last 4 years. And if they want to become President, how about they start acting like it.

What did you do over the weekend?

Well this weekend started out nicely by going to our last home football game of our High School lives. And thankfully it was a nice game with a kill against Munising 33-6. Afterwards i thought it would be nice if i went to the dance since it was the "celebration" of our last home game. On Saturday i worked from 4-7 and afterwards i drove around with Erin and went out to the Rautios camp with Erin, Amber, and her whole family. Sunday i hung out with Jessica and Erin at Jessicas house while i awaited the longest shift of my life ever; even thought it was only 5 hours, it felt like forever. And since yesterday i was not at school and i was playing tennis for the U.P.s i guess i could consider that as part of my weekend. I woke up at 7 and met the Varsity Tennis players at Country Kitchen. We all enjoyed our last time as a team together with a delicous breakfast. While playing in the meet yesterday i realized that our whole team was watching Britney and I play. I realized we were the last ones playing. Langness had told us "see the people standing on the fence? They're hoping you can keep them out of school, and do a nice job." And with that said Britney and I came out with a win against WIC. And all we had to worry about was playing Iron Mountain. No biggy right? We beat them at MPC's where we took third, whats not to lose? And as the whole team watched i could hear them cheering for us for every nice hit, or serve that was played off by us. One set was won by Brit and me. One set down, one more to go. Sadly enough, Brit and I lost our second set. As the frustration ran through our bodies, me and britney lost hope and ended up losing 6-1 in our last set.
Andddddd thats my weeekend.
